the design of the campus responds to the special characteristics of the site and positions the building towards the green center and as an intersection between the perimeter of the block and the park. the fanned-out, terraced segments avoid long building lines and create a clearly legible entrance with a spacious forecourt.

the campus consists of modular components: these educational areas are easily accessible and flexibly arranged. the terraced design creates usable roof areas and unobstructed views of the greenery. at the heart of the campus there is a common area which provides orientation and helps organize the flow of people. stairs and walkways connect the building segments, provide clear structures and enable flexible use.

sustainability and ecology

the terraced campus focuses on ecological innovations and sustainabilty: timber hybrid constructions, green roofs and façades, photovoltaic systems on the roofs and heat pumps are central components. the building considers principles of the circular economy, is built compactly and minimizes sealed surfaces. the sponge city principle also promotes sustainable water management.
