campus in the park

the two complementary structures create a new center and enliven the campus. they frame a new attractive courtyard and respond to the existing artworks by artist "bischoffshausen", which can remain in place and be reinterpreted. identity, openness and networking are taken up as a central campus theme and are implemented in the design.

communicative floor plan

the clear large form is composed of several sections in the interior. within the reduced geometry, diverse spatial scenarios and usage options are created. audimax, library, services and caféteria form a public ground floor zone with a room height of over 4m. the auditorium with air space becomes a generous place for meeting and communication.

wood-hybrid construction

the clearly structured wood-hybrid skeleton construction consists of a primary supporting structure of steel girders with laminated timber supports and a secondary supporting structure - a wood-concrete composite floor made of laminated timber panels and in-situ concrete.

open space = recreational space

the new campus with its different open spaces offers a variety of possibilities for living and learning together. the dense network of paths and tree groups structures and offers differentiated sensory spaces for students of all ages.
