a student residence, a day care centre, an academy for educators and a research facility are to be built on construction site k. when developing the floor plans, it was particularly important to fulfil the respective requirements of the very different uses while also creating a communicative, open campus atmosphere.
modern architecture for an integrative learning environment
the architecture focuses on open and adaptable room concepts that allow for study and retreat as well as exchange. green roofs with pv pergolas, green façades and attractive green communal areas contribute to biodiversity and a pleasant campus atmosphere. in the inner courtyard area in particular, innovative play equipment with living architecture has been integrated to create experiences of nature and strengthen the connection to the environment.
focus on sustainability and future viability
with demountable timber-concrete hybrid constructions and environmentally friendly and deconstructable materials in the interior fittings, the construction method follows the principles of circular construction. with energy-efficient building technology systems and photovoltaic panels on the roof and façade, the campus contributes to reducing the ecological footprint. in addition to an attractive cycling infrastructure and good public transport connections, sharing options are also taken into account in order to promote sustainable mobility for students and employees.
