an existing coffee house on stephansplatz in vienna is to be extensively renovated and enlarged. the architecture should appeal to regular guests as well as tourists. different target groups should feel comfortable.
the 1950s espresso is quoted with the new design. the floor and counter are made of the same material - bitumen terrazzo. the shiny white walls intensify the light effects in the unfortunately windowless room.
