guided tour at HOS
as part of the series baubesprechungen, the architecture forum of upper austria is organizing a guided tour of two of our projects on the campus of JKU linz on 02/27/2026 – our university building house of schools 1 and the associated parking garage. peter sapp will guide through our projects and will talk about their design process.
“the two newest buildings in the ensemble were designed by querkraft architekten. one is a parking garage that grows upward instead of producing excavation waste. thanks to its green facade and sophisticated precipitation management, it also incorporates ecological aspects and, last but not least, considers reuse in its supporting structure – for a future with less individual mobility. the second new building is an institute building – “house of schools” – for the JKU business school. in keeping with the spirit of a contemporary university, it offers a flexible, permeable, and transparent structure and shell that promotes informal exchange. during the tour, representatives of architecture, the client, and the users will guide us through the building.”
