entrance to the new urban area
in order to clearly mark the entrance to the nordwestbahnhof area and create a generous urban space, the high-rise building was situated at the north-western corner of the construction site at dresdner strasse 90. this creates an urban square that serves as an entrance to the district and as a hub for the entire area.
economic efficiency
the building is accessed via a central core and demonstrates economic efficiency and ecology with its efficient space-to-volume ratio. trees and plant beds structure the public space, and the roof areas are also greened. three different balustrade elements, which vary in transparency, colour and greening, characterise the loggia zone and create a lively façade.
diverse open spaces
the roof landscape offers space for a variety of uses: a play area for toddlers, a playground for children and young adults, a communal terrace and opportunities for gardening. a 1.20 m wide loggia zone running around the perimeter offers additional high-quality open space for each lounge area and is extended to a depth of 1.80 m at certain points. to strengthen the community spirit, there is a wide range of rooms for leisure activities available to all residents, both on the terrace on the 6th floor and on the rooftop terrace.
