comprehensive refurbishment
the juridicum at johannes kepler university (JKU) was reopened on june 16th, 2026 following a comprehensive refurbishment and is now energy-efficient, green and climate-friendly. querkraft transformed the 1970s building through thermal refurbishment, new cooling and heating solutions, and a striking green façade that connects the two parts of the building. additional planting and suspended trees improve the microclimate and make a strong architectural statement. the modernisation supports JKU’s goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2030 and offers students and staff a contemporary learning and working environment.
