2nd term for professor querkraft

the professorship of jakob dunkl, gerd erhartt and peter sapp - professor querkraft - at CVUT prague is entering the next round.

the assignment

prague shows how bridges can shape cities. and vienna? has room for improvement. that's why prague architecture students are to design a bridge that inspires vienna.

in focus: the brigittenau bridge. once part of a never-built inner-city highway. today inconspicuous, but with exciting, tentacle-like ramps that surprise from a bird's eye view.

the bridge will become an elongated village. over 30 metres wide, it offers space for structures - above, to the side, perhaps all the way to the water. car traffic disappears, leaving space for buses, bicycles and delivery services. new life on the bridge is hybrid: living, working, leisure, education, culture, gastronomy - everything is possible. the bridge is not only crossed, it is experienced. it becomes the most liveable place in vienna.
