honorable mention for MAD (museum of architecture and design in helsinki)
following placements of our designs for the new south bohemian ales-gallery and the visitor centre for admont abbey, we once again achieved recognition in the field of museum construction with our ‘park and peak’ design for the museum of architecture and design in helsinki – placing among the top 13 out of 624 participants.
the project responds to the challenges of climate change and focuses on wood as the central building material. in line with circular construction, the design stands for sustainable architecture that both improves the microclimate and contributes to biodiversity.
the accessible roof landscape and the connection between the harbour area and the adjacent park create clear added value for local residents.
