as part of the lecture series interaktionen organized by the institute of contemporary history at the university of vienna, michael voit will present our GSG KZ-gusen memorial.
“how can a place be remembered when its form has long since disappeared? michael voit talks about the design by querkraft, which deliberately avoids reconstruction and instead works with the existing traces of different layers of time. the aim is to create a ”networked landscape of memory“ that not only depicts history, but also makes it tangible.”
