guided tour at IKEA
as part of the architecture tour series out&about of the eumies awards, the european union's architecture prize, in which our IKEA vienna westbahnhof 2023 was voted one of the best 40 buildings in europe, jakob dunkl, carmen hottinger and karoline brandfellner will be giving a tour of the building together with robert charuza and stephan schneider from IKEA.
"during this tour, we will explore the revolutionary ikea building, a masterpiece of urban sustainability that manages without parking spaces, but instead houses 160 trees. the staggered construction gives the surrounding area space, air and sun. an inviting roof terrace and lush greenery on all facades contribute significantly to cooling and improving the microclimate."
the guided tours are organized by guiding architects and architectural tours vienna and will take place on 05/24/2024 at 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00 PM.
