competition 'gallery lower austria in krems'
the gallery is found in a lively solitaire - this shows presence in the urban space and at the same time creates identity. because the three institutions of the art mile krems (galerie nö, caricature museum, art gallery) are connected by an underground distributor level.
the open space design from the ship landing stage of the danube to the gallery forms a continuous language that was inspired by local conditions and allows insights into the distributor level.
spatially, the gallery will be a flexibly configurable exhibition body that can handle a wide variety of exhibition content and future developments thanks to mobile partition walls. the arrangement of small rooms is just as possible as the use of open halls. the way through the exhibition is always a new experience, which is additionally reinforced by internal and external perspectives.
