contribution to the exhibition "a foot in the door. manifestos of living"

this exhibition contrasted the living utopias of the Austrian 1960s and 1970s avant-gard, including those of hans hollein, coop himmelb(l)au, raymund abraham, günther domenig, and haus-ruucker-co., with the ideas of 21 young up-and-coming architects and architecture groups.

two hanging car wash brushes in a doorway create a revolving door. while traditional revolving doors start to move when you enter them, this one operates just the opposite. the motorized brushes rotate continously, only stopping when the light sensor is triggered by a crossing, thus allowing the bristles to hang and the person to pass.
